Drawing Ink depicting floral forms
Shot for an old colour project, these patterns are simply mixed ink colours at the bottom of a wash basin.
Canon EOS 350 D
I found this photo I had taken a year ago and realised theres a lot I could with photographs I have laying about. This got me thinking about the character of places themselves, especially dericlict ones. This has been done so many time before but maybe I’ll give it a try?
Taken in Bournemouth as part of a brief. Shot on a Canon EOS 350 D as a test then on 5x4. The difficult part was exposing for the snow. It seems to reflect all ambient light so much as to amplify it to a degree that cameras automatically underexpose by about 2 stops, making compensation difficult. This shot is from the DSLR with some adjustments such as levels and colour balance.

Fill-in

Experimenting with fill-in flash with a coursemate (wearing my clothes!). Its not too difficult, especially when you have a a digital camera. Your subject has the freedom to move giving the photographs a sense of fluidity. These are two from a longer series.
